Died:
- Marianne W. Bishop went to be with her Lord the evening of Thursday, January 15, 2015, after living 105 faith-filled years. Today heaven rejoices to welcome this vibrant, strong, witty, deeply spiritual woman who has touched the lives of so many.
Marianne was born on Monday, February 8, 1909. She was a member of St. Michaels Parish of Maple Grove most of her life. She also was an active member of the Legion of Mary and the Third Order of St. Francis. She sponsored a Saleisan priest from South America and two young women for the Sisterhood.
She is survived by her children: daughter-in-law Sally Bishop, Tom and Doris Bishop of Morrice, Mike and Margaret Bishop of Lansing, Theresa Casey of Hurst, TX, Angela Morse of Montrose, Sue and Denny Poletti of Flushing, Joe and Sallie Bishop of Pontiac, Larry and Maureen Bishop of New Lothrop, Tony and Brenda Bishop of Montrose, Frank and Paula Bishop of New Lothrop, Gerard Bishop and friend Ruthie. She also has 46 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren, an ever-growing number of great-great grandchildren, and many admirers and friends of all ages.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Arthur Bishop; son Peter Bishop; daughter Janet Wallen; sisters Bertha Emery, Etta Mayhew, Annette Constine, and Estelle Birchmeier; and brothers Al Fedewa, Bill Fedewa, Bernie Fedewa, and Vern Fedewa.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 19, 2015, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A Rosary service will take place at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at St. Michael's in Maple Grove at 11:00 a.m. The family will be at the church at 10:00 a.m. to meet and greet with friends. Father Randy Kelly will officiate, with burial at the church cemetery.
