Daughter of Even Olson Lindberg and Gunvar Borresdatter/Nelson Lindberg. Her mother died in Williston, ND sometime after 1903. She immigrated in 1901 with her son Bore Nelson (1841-1918) who died in Wheelock, ND.
Mathea E. Olsen was born in Veldre, Hedemarken, Norway, February 24, 1859. Died at her home in Eureka, Montana, December 1, 1922. She was united in marriage to Otto W. Dahl, January 26, 1884. A year later the couple left Norway to make their home in St. Paul, Minnesota. Residing there two years, they came to North Dakota and forged their way along with the early pioneers, meeting with many hardships and making firm friends. Living on their ranch home and in Williston, North Dakota, till 1918, coming to Kalispell, Montana and since April have made their home in Eureka, Montana.
To this union came seven children of whom three are living. Mrs. Dahl was a devout Christian from childhood up till her death.
She leaves her husband and son, A. W. Dahl, Wheelock, North Dakota; two daughters, Amelia/Emma Mrs. D. N. Gamache, Banks P. O., North Dakota; Gunvar, Mrs. Harold Clapper, Kalispell, Montana. Also three sisters Agnes Ankrim, Martha Glomstad and Ellen Adams in North Dakota and one sister Caroline, Mrs. Morris Evenson of Wisconsin to mourn her loss.
Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon from the M. E. Church.

Note: Martha Glomstad lived in Williston ND in 1920 with her youngest son Elmer Glomstad and half-sister Agnes Gamache-Ankrim and next door to sister Ellen Adams
