KING LOWE Obituary
LOWE, King Frederick Age 84, of Cotuit, passed peacefully at home on February 27th surrounded by his family. Born in Cambridge, MA, King was the only child of the late Frederick Joseph Lowe and Agnes Lillian Lowe (Fitzgerald). King was raised in Cambridge and Belmont and graduated from the Belmont Hill School where he played football and ice hockey. Upon graduating from Harvard University, King started his banking career with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. He retired as President of American Security Bank in Washington, D.C. King is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores (Kurre) of 40 years. They met at a St. Patrick's Day party in 1979 and have been inseparable ever since. King is also survived by his son Justin and his wife Supawan of Los Angeles, daughter Alison of Cotuit, MA and Brattleboro, VT, his son Kevin of Cotuit, MA, his daughter Keely Welch and her husband Philip of Charlestown, MA, and his stepson Douglas Burke of Los Angeles. He has one grandchild, Maeve Welch, whom he loved dearly. King was a kind and caring person who was always there to listen and advise. Throughout his life, he prioritized his children and did many things to make their lives better. He and Dolores loved to travel around the world. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. There will be a celebration of life in the summer. Gifts in memory of King may be made to the Belmont Hill School, 350 Prospect Street, Belmont, MA 02478.
