Notes:
The Gamache Manor is rather plain but is notable for the pitch of its roof which is quite steep. The wall of stone bill a number limit opening, especially on the wall gable. The disposition irregular of this opening indicate a original square enlarge toward the end of the XVIIIe century. And through the years, the monument has undergone other modifications. A brick chimney appeared towared the end of the XIXe century, replacing one that was there. Wooden additions are more recent and on the facade - The dormers transformed the quarters by allowing more light inside. Between 1978 and 1985, the Gamache Manor was restored. Outside, cedar replaced iron sashes and dormers were replaced. The walls were stuccoed and a central chimney was rebuilt, replacing the stone one with bricks. Trees were removed to allow the house to feel more in the open. The road has been relocated so that the rear side is the one now visible from the road which bears the name of Manoir Gamache at Cap St. Ignace.
