Deceased Name: Everett L. Gamache
Everett L. Gamache, 76, of 178 Old Vernon Road died Wednesday at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. He was a 25-year employee of the Erving Paper Mill, and retired in 1979. He was previously a Montague town tree surgeon, and worked for the former Mohawk Chevrolet. Born and schooled in Winchendon, he was a World War II Army veteran. He served in the European theater and Panama. He attended the Advent Christian Church in Vernon, Vt., and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Northfield, and the Ping-Pong Club of Franklin County. He formerly was in the Odd Fellows Lodge Turners Falls. He leaves his wife of 50 years, the former Mildred Lysiak; a son, Stephen of Northfield; three daughters, Shelia Parker of Turners Falls, and Dale Lake and Holly Deone of Northfield; a brother, Charles of Greenfield; four sisters, Pearl Webber of Montague, Elaine Nadeau of Dalton, Gloriann Wickline of Turners Falls, and Julie Berube of Haydenville; eight grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday afternoon at the church, with a military burial in West Northfield Cemetery. The calling hours at Kidder Funeral Home are this evening.
