Deceased Name: PALM CITY
Sarah Elizabeth Gamache, 18, died March 2, 2009, at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart.
She was born in Stuart and was a lifelong resident of Martin County.
She was a senior at Martin County High School and had previously attended Hidden Oaks Middle School and Palm City Elementary.
She was member of the Roman Catholic faith.
She was a member of National Honor Society, French Honor Society, drama club, Tiger Regiment Marching Band and the concert and symphonic bands. She had the distinction of achieving the top writing score on 10th grade FCAT and was a former Palm City Elementary Most Outstanding Student.
She volunteered with the American Red Cross and Apple Tree Academy.
Survivors include her parents, Jenny and Mike Gamache of Palm City; sisters, Ashley and Lauren of Palm City; maternal grandmother, Kaaren Behrle of Stuart; paternal grandparents, Tom and Elaine Gamache of Palm City; and great-grandmother, Theresa Caron of Palm City.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Behrle.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. March 6 at Martin County High School Auditorium, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. March 7 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City. Arrangements are by Forest Hills Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart. A guest book may be signed at www.youngandprill.com.
