Services Monday for Mrs. Sigal
Services will be held at 10 am. Monday at Shriver-Allison-CourtleyNorth Side Chapel for Mrs. Rose Sigal, 89, of 34 Elva Ave., retired owner and operator of Hillman Wine Shop, who died of complications at 2:12 am. Saturday in North Side Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Sigal was born Sept. 22, 1894, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of Jacob and Sarah Sivitz Adler, and came to Youngstown more than 40 years ago.
She owned and operated the wine shop 38 years, retiring in 1947 and was a member of Rodef Shalom Temple. She also sang with the old Youngstown Civic Chorus. Her husband, Morris, to whom she was married in 1911, died in 1959.
She leaves a daughter, Miss Thelma Sigal at home and three sisters, Mrs. Sidney Harris and Miss Molly Adler, both of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Ann Levine of Wheeling, W. Va.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the funeral home. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the temple.
