- Jessie Lorraine Gamache Obituary
Jessie Gamache was a long-time rancher and business owner in Pincher Creek. She was hard working, helping to run the ranch while operating her store, High Country Western Wear. Jessie was a pillar of the community. She supported the Pincher Creek rodeo, was a life-long member of the CWL, and helped many individuals who needed a little extra to get on their feet. Many times, she gave clothing to people who needed something decent to wear to a job interview or new job, expecting no repayment. She was very humble, not wanting recognition for her kindness.
Jessie always commented on how lucky she was to live in such a beautiful place. She enjoyed watching the birds and animals that frequented the pond next to her house. Gardening was another of her favorite past-times. Her flowers gave her great joy. She loved to travel and saw many interesting places. But the most important thing to her was her large family. Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter were huge events with her cooking family favorites, especially her pumpkin pie. Friends were also welcomed to these gatherings. In her younger days, berry picking, picnics, and drives through the mountains were enjoyed by her and her many family members. Jessie was a woman of great faith. Eternal peace is now hers. She will be missed by all of us whose lives she touched.
