Peacefully, on March 6, 2026, at the age of 81, Mrs. Louise Gamache, resident of Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, wife of the late Mr. Georges Forgues, daughter of the late Léon Gamache and the late Claire Galipeau, passed away.
She is survived by her children François, Julie (Yves), Lyne (the late Gerry), Ginette (Dany), and Josée (Benoit); her grandchildren Gabriel, Frédérick, Jérémie, Antoine, Carl, David, Alexandre, Pascale, and Félix; her great-grandchildren Charles, William, Anne, Édouard, Mathilde, and Anaïs; her siblings Marie-Andrée (René), the late Marcel (Hélène), Gilbert (Lise), Jean-Yves (Christine), Simone (Luc), Solange (Gabriel), and Suzanne (Jean-Claude); her sisters-in-law Jacqueline (the late Sylvio) and Monique (the late Joseph); her nephews and nieces; as well as many other relatives and friends. She also leaves to mourn her partner, Jean-Guy Rousselle, and his family.
She was known for her big heart, her great generosity, and her dedication. She taught many students in the region and was particularly recognized for her involvement as a volunteer in several organizations.
The family wishes to thank the entire team of the medical unit at BMP Hospital as well as the home palliative care team, particularly Dr. Pascale Beaulieu and nurse Lynn Larivée.
