Eleanore G. Ferris 90 of Menominee, MI passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at the Luther Home of Marinette, WI. She was born on March 2, 1926, to the late Ernest and Laura (Eastland) Gustafson in Menominee, MI.
She graduated from Menominee High School in 1944 and had worked for Scott Paper for 40 years in Human Resources.
On August 27, 1993, Eleanore married Paul Ferris; he preceded her in death on February 21, 2004.
She loved spending time with family. She enjoyed music, shopping and traveling; including to Branson and Door County and especially to submarine events with her husband who was stationed on a sub. She was a very active member Community Covenant Church in Menominee and the church auxiliary.
Eleanore is survived by her nieces; Holly (Jim) Pecard of Green Bay, WI and Laurie (Kevin) Hoffman of Manitowoc, WI; three great nephews: James (Maria) Pecard, Matthew Pecard, and David Hoffman; and a great-great niece, Veronica Pecard.
In addition to her parents and husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Pedersen and brother, Ernest Gustafson.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, January 5th from 3-6pm. Funeral Services will be held at 6pm with Rev. Tom Lach officiating. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery
