Doris Theresa Ouimet 94, passed away on October 27th 2021 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born at home November 10, 1926 in Enfield CT, the daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Brunelle) Gamache. Doris was predeceased by her 8 siblings and her daughter, Theresa Rollend.
She leaves behind 6 children, Arthur Ouimet III of Hampden MA, Sandra Marcucio (Joe) of Vernon CT, Janice Nubile (Dennis) of Northport FL, Judith Pabis (Gary) of Wilbraham, MA, Gary Ouimet (Donna) of Worthington MA, and Wendy Trombley (Cliff) of Greenville NH. A son-in-law, Bob Rollend of West Brookfield MA. 21 Grandchildren, 38+ Great grandchildren, 1 Great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Doris lived most her life in Hampden MA where she raised her 7 children. Through her life she enjoyed so many things; gardening, bowling, painting, cake decorating, playing cards, games, making greeting cards, traveling, the Casino and most of all, people.
After retiring from Milton Bradley in East Longmeadow, MA she became active with the Lioness Club, Scantic Seniors, Friends of Hampden and the Hampden Council on Aging.
She always looked forward to playing cards at the Senior Center and get togethers at the community room with friends and family.
Doris was a wonderful friend, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She touched the hearts of so many.
Family and Friends are invited to gather on Wednesday November 3rd 2021 from 3-7 PM in Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 N. Main St. East Longmeadow, MA. A service will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be Private.
Memorial contributions in Doris?s name may be made to the Hampden Senior Center, 104 Allen Street, Hampden, MA 01036, or in honor of her daughter, Theresa, the National Pancreas Foundation, 3 Bethesda Metro Center, Suite 700, Bethesda, MD 20814.
