X - EWING, NJ ? N. Raymond Gamache, 87, of West Trenton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at his home.
Born in Lawrence, Mass., he was a longtime resident of the Ewing Township area. Mr. Gamache was employed by Reading Railroad, later Conrail, and retired in 1983, as a supervisor, after 34 years of service.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of M.O.W, R.R.V.E.A., N.A.R.V.E., American Legion Post 314, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the BPOE Lodge 105 in West Trenton.
Mr. Gamache was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the 90th Division in Europe.
Son of the late Napoleon and Johanna Kinmond Gamache, brother of the late Joseph Gamache and Evelyn Mercier, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, D. Eileen Gamache; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald N. and Martha Gamache of Citrus Springs, Fla., Raymond ?Skip? and Phyllis Gamache of Ewing; four grandchildren, Neil and SusieGamache, Donna and Jeff Barr, Raymond E. Gamache III, Jennifer and Adam Kearns; eight great-grandchildren, Anne Marie Cook, CodyGamache, Ashley and Lori Barr, Jaxinn P. Kearns, Becky, Kate and Rob Thielemann; one great great-grandson, Robbie Thielemann; one brother, Augustine Gamache of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
