Deceased Name: Tiverton EARLEEN P. GAMACHE
EARLEEN P. GAMACHE, 67, of Slade Street, library director for the Lincoln Public Library for 21 years, retiring in 1995, and a watercolor artist, died yesterday at St. Ann's Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond R. Gamache Sr.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Earl C. and Marion (Wheeler) Perrin, she lived in Tiverton for 23 years, previously living in Bristol. Mrs. Gamache received a bachelor of arts dgree and a master's degree in library science from the University of Rhode Island.
She was a member of Englewood Florida Art Guild, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, Venice Florida Art Center, the Cape Cod Art Association and the Wickford Art Association and a former cartoonist for The Bristol Phoenix and The East Providence Post.
She leaves three sons, James F. McCrathy of Warren, Kevin W. McCarthy of North Kingstown and John S. McCarthy of Sacramento, Calif.; four daughters, Gail P. McCarthy, Sue M. Wilkinson and Jan M. Flynn, all of Bristol, and Kim C. Peranzi of Rehoboth; a stepson, Raymond R. Gamache Jr. of Fall River; a stepdaughter, Debra A. Alix of Pawtucket; a brother, Elliot W. Perrin of Marston Mills, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Rehoboth Congregational Church, 139 Bay State Rd., Rehoboth Village. Cremation will be held by the Cremation Society of Rhode Island.
