John ?Jack? D. Gamache, 80, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on February 2, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ludlow, son of the late John and Mable (Bouchard) Gamache, he was a lifelong resident and 1959 graduate of Ludlow High School. Jack was a proud United States Army Veteran and worked for a combined 45 years at Monsanto and Solutia from where he retired. Upon retirement, he worked at the Ludlow Police Station; and in his spare time, he enjoyed reading and spending time outdoors, especially hiking; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with family including his loyal dog Lucy. Jack was the beloved husband of 60 years to Nicolette (Spera) Gamache; a loving father to David Gamache, Laura Mandia and husband Gary, Tom Gamache and wife Maria, Dan Gamache and wife Gail, and Michelle DeRose and husband Paul; a devoted grandfather to Joseph Gamache and wife Kathleen, Melissa and Gary Mandia, Alexis, David, Jack, Danny, Jake, and Hannah Gamache, and Gabriella and Gianna DeRose; adoring great-grandfather to Oliver Gamache; a dear brother-in-law to April Mastrangelo and late husband Vincent; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held privately by his family.
