Deceased Name: Wilfred A. Gamache
LUDLOW Wilfred A. Gamache, 90, of 158 Highland Ave., died Sunday at the Holyoke Soldiers' Home. He was a 20-year yard maintenance man for Monsanto Chemical Co. in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield. Born here, he was a 70-year resident. He also lived in Indian Orchard section for seven years and in Holyoke for 13 years. He was a World War II Army veteran, a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post 277 in Indian Orchard. His wife, the former Edith Monette, died in 1966. He leaves two stepsons, Henry St. Marie Jr. of Becket and Gerald St. Marie of Sandy Hook, Conn.; three stepdaughters, Mae Nareau of Chicopee, Marie Klinger of Springfield and Henrietta Bernardo of Ludlow; 21 stepgrandchildren; and 44 step-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday morning at Ratell Funeral Home of Indian Orchard and the church in Ludlow, with burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Calling hours are Wednesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Soldiers' Home, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
