Rolande Gamache Obituary
Fitchburg ? Rolande L. (Pagé) Gamache, 86, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in Leominster Hospital surrounded by her family.
Rolande was born in Saint-Basile, Quebec, Canada on January 7, 1937, a daughter of the late Alexandre and Amabilis (Naud) Pagé. She moved to Fitchburg in April, 1957. She was the wife of the late Norman J. Gamache, who passed away in March of 2012.
She had an exceptional memory especially with numbers and dates. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling and camping with her family.
She is survived by her two children, Claire D. Rines of New Port Richey, FL and Michael Gamache and wife Mary Lee of Fitchburg; two grandsons, Christopher Rines and wife Aurora of Niskayuna, NY and Matthew Gamache of Fitchburg; a sister, Fernande Pagé (Jean-Paul Leduc) of Saint-Marc-des-Carrières, Quebec Canada; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rolande was predeceased by her son-in-law David Rines in November of 2010, as well as her siblings, Gaétane Paquin (Eugene), Noëlla de Beaumont (Jean-Paul), Yvette Tessier (Gérard), Denise Pagé, Marcel Pagé, Guy Pagé (Agathe Lépine).
A calling hour will be held in the Isabelle and Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 9:30-10:30am. The funeral Mass will be held in Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
