Pauline M. (Gamache) Landry, 84, of Fitchburg, passed away Thursday evening, September 1, 2011, after a brief illness, in the Legends Center, Gardner, MA.
She was born on March 27, 1927, the daughter of Wilfred and Lydia (Tremblay) Gamache.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Landry of Fitchburg, MA; two grandsons, Joshua and Jason Landry; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Christian; one brother, Norman Gamache and his wife, Rolande of Fitchburg, MA; and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, William Landry in 2010, and a brother, Wilfred Gamache.
Pauline worked at Comfort Slipper and Anwelt Shoe Co., both formerly of Fitchburg, MA, and also worked as a secretary before her retirement. She also enjoyed doing crafts. She was a lovely and caring person and will be sadly missed.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg, MA with the Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A calling hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St. is directing.
