WAREHAM -- George A. Gamache, 71, of Middleboro, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at the Forestview Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jeralyn C. (Blake) Gamache, to whom he was married 43 years. Born in Middleboro, a son of the late Joseph B. and Anna (Dufour) Gamache, he was a lifelong resident and communicant of Sacred Heart Church.. Mr. Gamache retired from MCI Bridgewater, where he was a correction officer for 25 years. For the past 25 years, he owned and operated George A. Gamache Paving Co., in Middleboro. Survivors include his widow; five children, David Sisson, Paula Darling, Joseph Gamache, George Gamache and John Gamache, all of Middleboro; seven grandchildren, Kelly and Matthew Darling, Khala, George Jr., Mariah, Julie and Leanne Gamache; two sisters, Josephine Forcier of Middleboro and Anna Cote of Fall River; five brothers, Pete Gamache, Jules Gamache and Paul Gamache, all of Lakeville, Leo Gamache and Arthur Gamache, both of Middleboro; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ernestine Stuart. His funeral will be at 8 a.m. Friday from the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville, followed by a Mass at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in the VA Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
