SOUTHAMPTON - Ronald Perrault, 76, passed away surrounded by his family at Baystate Medical Center on Dec. 21, 2017.
Ron was born to Charles A. and Leona (Gladu) Perrault in Chicopee on Dec. 14, 1941. He was married to the love of his life, Ann Marie (Gamache) Perrault for 54 years.
Ron was a 34-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired in 2001 from Westover Air Reserve Base at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. While at Westover ARB, Ron made lifelong friendships. After retiring from UMass in 2001, he spent his time volunteering at the Easthampton Community Center, and was always lending a helping hand to the elderly in his community.
Ron was an avid golfer, loved to travel with his wife, and enjoyed spending family time with his children and grandchildren. To know Ron was to love Ron.
Ron is survived by his wife Ann; daughters Kim Thomann and her husband Gary, Michelle Otis and her husband Jeffery, and Jennifer Glenowicz and her partner Daniel Cronin; grandchildren Katharyn Thomann, Nicholas Thomann, Amanda Otis and her partner Sean Buckley, Jillian Otis and her partner Jonathan Mitchell, Alexandra Otis, Margaret Glenowicz, and Riley Glenowicz. Ron is also survived by his brother David Perrault and his wife Irasema, his sister-in-law Diane Guyer and her husband Edward, his niece Laura Olsen, and his nephew Scott Guyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be held at Czelusniak Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 2 from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Valley in Easthampton at 11 a.m., with burial at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 1 p.m.
