Deceased Name: Yvette Marie (Sarrazin) Gamache
Yvette Marie (Sarrazin) Gamache, 80, of Wapato died Tuesday in Portland.
Mrs. Gamache was born in Montreal, Canada, and immigrated to the United States in 1942. She lived in Georgia and Kentucky before moving to Washington. Mrs. Gamache and her husband were partners in the family hop ranch in the Yakima Valley.
Survivors include two sons, Rene Gamache of Zillah and Denis Gamache of Toppenish; a daughter, Linda Janachek of Portland; three sisters, Rose Fillion of St. Petersburg, Fla., Geraldine Gamache of Poulsbo, Wash., and Fernande Cumming of Ville La Salle, Quebec; a brother, Alfred Sarrazin of Henderson, Nev.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5315 Tieton Drive, Yakima. A committal service will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.
