CLEMENT G. GAMACHE -- ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. /GRAND ISLE - Clement George Gamache of Grand Isle and St. Petersburg passed away unexpectedly from complications following surgery at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, surrounded by his family on Monday, March 26, 2007. Clem was born on Sept. 26, 1927, in Colchester, son of Theodore and Fernand (L'Ecuyer) Gamache. After graduation from Cathedral High School, he entered the U. S. Air Force and was stationed in Korea. On June 23, 1956, he married Barbara Perrotte in Burlington. He worked for A&P stores for 25 years in Essex Junction and eventually owned his own supermarket and a custodial home. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved attending his grandchildren's school activities and sporting events. He enjoyed working at his daughter's Sausage Shack at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds, and watching the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey games, the Red Sox games and golf on TV. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; one daughter, Judy and her husband Ray Ingalls of Essex Junction; three grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jill and Jessica Ingalls; fours brothers: Richard and Susan, James and Theresa, Paul and Marianna and Gerry and Mary; two sisters: Theresa and Gary Payea and Andrea and Pal-mer (Skip) Irish; three in-laws: Marlene, and his lifetime friend, Bernard Rocheleau, Connie Perrotte and Renee Perrotte; and special friends Paul and Clara Roy; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters: Annette Gamache, Claire Burdick and Reina Aussant.
