Theresa Marie (Gamache) Hlobik, 79, beloved wife of the late Roger A. Hlobik, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
Theresa was born in Willimantic on August 4, 1938, the daughter of Roland and Jeannette (Bisonnette) Gamache. She received schooling and graduated from Windham High School. Shortly afterwards, she married Roger Hlobik and started their life together.
Theresa and Roger built and lived in their first home in Willington. They had four children - Alan, Karen, Mark, and Gail. The family moved to Rutland, VT, and raised their children there. Theresa was a loving homemaker and mother. When her children were grown, Theresa and Roger returned to Connecticut.
They enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and Arizona, where they had many friends. Theresa's favorite times were when she was with her children, grandchildren, and extended family having wonderful cookouts and celebrations together.
She is survived by her three children, Alan Hlobik of Ellington, Karen Hull and her husband Scott of Weathersfield, VT, and Mark Hlobik and his wife Michelle of Unity, NH; seven grandchildren, Allison, Adam, Ashley, Cody, Kelsi, Logan, and Evan; three great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Landon, and Kaylie; as well as a brother, Henry Gamache of Willimantic; a sister, Doris Lessard of Marlborough; a son-in-law, Neil Gauvin of Rocky Hill, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Gail Gauvin, and her sister, Rita Williams.

Theresa's family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at Rockville Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and the Vernon and Bloomfield Davita Dialysis Centers for the great care they gave to Theresa. Also, the nurses and staff at Touchpoints at Chestnut in East Windsor where Theresa lived for the past year.
Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 11 to 12 noon at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, a prayer service beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington.
