  [S5] Obituary. GAMACHE, Alexander E. Alexander E. Gamache, 100, of Bristol, widower of Anna (Holden) Gamache, died Friday, (September 14, 2007), at Bristol Hospital. Alexander was born October 4, 1906, in Bristol, a son of the late Gideon and Dona (Remillard) Gamache. Mr. Gamache was owner and operator of the Maple End Shoppe in Bristol from 1929 to 1957. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Ann Church, and the American Legion in Bristol. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9 a.m. from the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Forestville, to St. Ann Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
