  [S5] Obituary. Union-News (Springfield, MA) - Wednesday, November 11, 1998 Deceased Name: Joseph C. Gamache SPRINGFIELD Joseph C. Gamache, 75, of 248 Fiberloid St., Indian Orchard, died Tuesday at home. A 38-year machinist, he worked at the former Springfield Armory, General Electric Corp., and Terry Steam Turbine Co. of Windsor, Conn., and was a part-time machine setup worker for Buxton Leather Co. of Agawam. After retirement, he worked for the Big Y Supermarket in Ludlow for five years. Born in the Indian Orchard section, he was a lifelong resident. An Army veteran of World War II, he participated in the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944-45. He received American and European-African-Middle Eastern theater ribbons and a Victory Medal. He was a communicant of St. Jude's Church in Indian Orchard. He coached Little League baseball for several years, and basketball for the former St. Aloysius Church Men's Club. He leaves his wife, the former Annette M. Laprade; three sons, Gerard J. of Springfield, Martin J. of Monson and Joseph C. Jr. of Ludlow; three daughters, Charlene R. St. Onge of Springfield, Lynette Ann Gagne of Worden, Ill., and Yvonne M. Blinn of Monson; a brother, Adrian of Springfield; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday morning at Ratell Funeral Home and the church, with the burial at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Indian Orchard. Calling hours will be Thursday afternoon and evening.
