Susan "Suzie" R. Hargrave Obituary
SCOTT ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at a 3:00 p.m. Liturgy of the Word in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Susan Hargrave, age 69, the former Susan R. Gamache, who passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at St. Joseph Carpenter House in Lafayette.
Mrs. Hargrave was a native of North Adams, MA and a resident of Scott for over 50 years. She enjoyed vacationing in Tennessee, loved occasional casino trips, and celebrating Christmas with her family. Susan especially loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and other family. Her legacy will live on in their hearts.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Danny Hargrave; two daughters, Kimberly Fruge' and Christina Williams and her husband, John, of Scott; three grandchildren, Beau Fruge' and his fiancée, Jennie, of Scott, Leigha Bordelon, and Parker Bordelon; one great-grandchild, Kingston Fruge' "Mr. Pud"; one sister, Michelle Meaux "Mickie"; a brother, Robert Gamache and his wife, Bobbie, of Broussard; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Gamache and Carol and Eddie Lyons; two brothers, Ronald and Neil Gamache; a nephew, Ronald Gamache, Jr. and her Godmother, Madelyn Perras.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 am Tuesday until service time on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Beau Fruge?, Parker Bordelon, Bob Gamache, and Kaleb Coleman.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and doctors of St. Joseph Hospice and The Carpenter House.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to The Carpenter House.
