MELROSE Wayne A. Sunkes, "Mush mouse" 56, of Rt. 40, died at his residence on Monday, February 12, 2007 after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born in Cohoes and was the son of the late John and Josephine Sunkes. He worked for Ken's Floor Service, and then went into business for himself, as Wayne's Floor Service for 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Demers Sunkes of Melrose. Father of Mrs. David (Rita) Edwards, Robert (Darcy) Gamache, Raymond (Melissa) Paul, Paula Sunkes and Tim Honsinger, and the late Bret Sunkes. Brother of Mrs. Kenneth (Laura) Palmer, Pat Charland, June Sunkes, Bonnie Grosebeck, Margie Sunkes, Jack Sunkes and Kenneth Sunkes, and the late Daniel and Robert Sunkes and Liza Chaput. Brother-in-law of Mrs. Peter (Linda) Hanczaryk and Martin Rivette. Poppy to Tiffany and Austin Edwards, Robert, Sara and Zachary Gamache, Brenda and Keith Paul; great-grandfather of Raymond Gamache. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral, Wednesday evening 7:00 p.m. at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Anthony Green officiating.
