Died:
- Larry Harlan Johnson, formerly of Cameron, Wisconsin, died Saturday, April 9th, 2011, at his home in Albany, Oregon. He was born in Turtle Lake, Polk County, Wisconsin, to Harlan and Florence Viola (Gamache) Johnson. He moved with his parents to California and grew up there. He married Marian Jean Nelson at Glendale, California and lived in many places in the United States and Canada, moving to Cameron, Wisconsin in 1976. They operated Johnson?s Fairway Foods in Cameron until retiring in August of 1999. He worked hard and loved those around him. He had a gift for being cheerful and encouraging. He was known for his compassion and integrity. He loved his family, his community and his church. A few years after losing his sweetheart Marian (in 2001), he moved to Albany, Oregon to be close to family. He has blessed the lives of everyone he met no matter where he lived. He will be sorely missed, yet we are happy he is with his sweetheart once again. What a joyful reunion that must be! He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include sons Steven(Sharon) Johnson of Whittier, CA, Daryl Johnson of Sun City, Arizona, David (Julie) Johnson of Mountain Green, UT, daughters Marla Makela (Pentti) of Ontario, Canada, Mary (Mike) Potter of Albany, OR and Jo Ann Rice (Lana) of Helendale, CA; eight grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 1 Brother Rodney Johnson also survives him. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Dale Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18th at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Barron, Wisconsin. The viewing will be 2 hours prior to the service with burial following at Wayside Cemetery in Barron. Rausch & Steel Funeral Home, Barron, handling the arrangements.
