Obituary
82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on September 22. Born to Alice (Dillon) and Fred L. Gamache on Christmas day 1939 in Narragansett, R.I. Mary Alice was a graduate of St. Xavier?s Academy in Providence, and then Our Lady of Fatima Hospital School, graduating as an LPN in 1959. She later graduated from RI College School of Nursing, with an RN, BSN. Mary Alice was a nurse for nearly 4 decades at South County Hospital in Wakefield, and was well-known and beloved in the care-giving community. A lifelong resident of Narragansett, Mary Alice loved gardening, quilting, babies, and all dogs and cats. She loved traveling, and cooking for friends and family. Mary leaves behind her children, Kate (Doug), Kevin, Amy (Wayne), Christopher (Kristen), and Matthew; a brother Fred (Charlotte), and sister Rose Ann, her grandchildren Caleb, Hailey, and Liam, 5 nieces and nephews, and her former husband Bob. Visitation will be 4-7 PM, Wednesday the 28th September at Avery-Storti Funeral Home in Wakefield. A Christian Mass to celebrate our beloved Mary Alice will take place on Thursday, September 29th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary?s Star of the Sea in Narragansett, and all are invited.
