  [S5] Obituary. Olive Marie Sype was born July 3, 1933 to Eugene Gamache and Dorena Malette in Escanaba, Michigan. She passed away April 14, 2016 at the age of 82 at Kemp Care Center in Kemp, Texas, where she had resided for the past month. Olive married LeeRoy Elwood White on Aug. 12, 1949. Olive stayed at home and took pleasure in caring for her family. She especially enjoyed baking bread and did so several times a week. She enjoyed canning everything she could for her family including jams, jellies, vegetables and fruit. She was also heavily involved in her church, singing in the string band, working with the girls program, and Sunday school secretary were some of her responsibilities. After the death of her husband LeeRoy White in 1983 she went to work at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. Olive married Russell Sype on Oct. 3, 1986 and resided in Rapid River, Michigan for a few years. She then moved to Morristown where she spent the last years of her life. She attended Alpha Baptist Church where she really enjoyed the ladies Sunday school class. She often spoke of the many wonderful friends she had made there. Olive enjoyed being active and shopping. She spent many hours with her late husband, Russell, visiting the countryside around their Morristown home as well as many hours shopping the outlet malls in the area. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Eugene and Dorena Gamache; husbands, LeeRoy White and Russell Sype; step-son, LeeRoy White; sister, Lorraine Winkling. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Ronald) Nickel, of Bingham Lake, Minnesota, Darcey (Terry) Leisner of Escanaba; sons, Blane (Rebecca) White of Maplewood, Minnesota, Bradford (Kathy) White of Kaufman, Texas; sister, Yvonne Meyer of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Eugene (Emily) Gamache of Oswego, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Sharon White of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Monique (Thad) Bergmeier, Joshua (Roberta) Nickel, Linnea, Danica and Marita White, Samuel and Sarah White, Jill, Stacy, Raquel and Wendy Leisner; five great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at Regency Retirement Village in Morristown Wednesday, May 11 at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.
