  [S5] Obituary. Julia R. Gamache AGE: 96 Iselin Julia R. Gamache (Messina), 96, of Iselin, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at her home. Born in Newark, Julia lived in Union for many year before moving to Iselin 14 years ago. Julia was the very proud owner of the Vergay Salon in Newark for many years, and was also employed by Vincent's Beauty Salon in Union. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas Messina and Sadie (Holland) Messina, and her loving husband, Rene, in 1981; her siblings, Joseph Messina, Thomas Messina, George Messina, Florence Sampiere, Evelyn Messina, and Vera Messina. She is survived by a sister, Nita Messina, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 9:00am from the Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Ave., followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from the Church of the Assumption R.C. Church, Roselle Park, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 .p.m Tuesday, Feb. 15 at the funeral home.
