Deceased Name: ODELIE G. LEBEL WORKED IN BRUNSWICK, ACTIVE IN CHURCH
Odelie G. Lebel, 102, of 407 Pool St., formerly of Brunswick, died Monday at St. Andre's Health Care Facility, where she lived for the past 16 years.
She was born in Brunswick, a daughter of Edmund and Osithee Levasseaur Gamache, and attended local schools.
She worked at the Cabot Mill and for many years worked in her father's candy store.
On September 15, 1919, she married Eddie A. Lebel. He died Oct. 13, 1955.
Mrs. Lebel was a homemaker and worked several years at Senter's and Brehault's department stores in Brunswick. She also worked at the Jarvis Restaurant, retiring in the mid-'50s.
She was a member of the Evergreens Club, the Third Order of Mary, the Daughters of Isabella Father Remy Circle and the Ladies of St. Anne and St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline Dawson of Kennebunk; two sons, Eddie and Louis Lebel, both of Brunswick; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Friday at Stetson's Funeral Home, Brunswick. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church, Brunswick. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Brunswick.
