SCARBOROUGH -- Esther (Gamache) Poulin, 82, of Scarborough and formerly of Waterville, passed away at Pine Point Center with family members by her side. Esther was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Portland, a daughter of Lionel A. and Eva M. (Saucier) Gamache.
She retired as a CNA, working in hospitals and nursing homes in the Waterville area. She enjoyed being a member of the "Red Hat Society," loved to sing and was an avid reader. She also loved to travel and visit her children and create crafts with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She always said that her greatest accomplishment in life were her children. Esther, we will miss you dearly. We love you, Mom!
Esther was predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Poulin; son Gerard R. Poulin; and brother Lee Gamache.
Esther is survived by her children, Robert H. Poulin of Sebastian, Fla., Mary Ann (Poulin) LeBrun and husband, Joseph, of Austin, Texas, Elaine J. (Poulin) Pennell and companion, Dan E. Robert, of South Portland, Ronald L. Poulin of Derry, N.H., David A. Poulin and wife, Michele, of Winslow, and Darlene D. (Poulin) Harde of Marlborough, N.H.; and her siblings, Russell Gamache and wife, Patricia, of Winslow, Angeline (Gamache) Michaud and husband, James, of Waterville, and Ronald Gamache and wife, Janet, of Charlotte, N.C.A special love was carried in her heart for her several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
