DRACUT -- Alphee R. Gamache, 97, a resident of Dracut, died Thursday evening, May 10, 2012, at a local healthcare facility. He was the husband of the late Catherine R. (Cushion) Gamache.
Born in Lowell on June 18, 1914, he was a son of the late Goudias and Clara (Lacasse) Gamache.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the US High Pile Company of Milbury for 42 years.
He was a communicant of Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church, and a member of the Dracut Senior Citizens Club and the Dracut Council on Aging.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Lorette Gamache of Dracut, Leon and Ethel Gamache of No. Chelmsford, and Robert and Donna Gamache of Davenport, WA; a daughter, Rita Lefebvre of Merrimack, NH; a sister; Germaine Goyette of Lowell; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
GAMACHE -- Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, from 7:30 until 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday Morning. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at
9 A.M. in Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
