Deceased Name: Grace E. Gamache
WORCESTER -- Grace E. (O'Donnell) Gamache, of 10 Midland St., died Saturday, May 12, at home after an illness.
Her husband of 42 years, Norman ``Lefty'' M. Gamache, died in 1985. She leaves two sons, George F. Gamache of Walpole and William J. Gamache of Concord, N.H.; a daughter, Elizabeth M. Gamache of Worcester; two sisters, Mary A. Coakley and Eleanor M. O'Donnell, both of Worcester; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George H. and Katharine (Gaffney) O'Donnell, and graduated from North High School and Framingham State Teachers College.
Mrs. Gamache was a home economics teacher at David Hale Fanning Trade School. She previously taught at Palmer High School and in North Grosvenordale.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, the Framingham Club of Worcester, the Worcester Home Economists, and the Worcester Craft Center.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 16, from O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nazareth Home for Boys, Mulberry Street, Leicester, MA 01524 or the Visiting Nurse's Association, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
