Lorraine F. (Thiboutot) Gamache, 85, of Palmer St., Fall River, died peacefully, Friday, March 16, 2007, at home, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Dempsey Gamache, Sr. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late
Adalbert and Angele (Jalbert) Thiboutot. A homemaker all her life, and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of St. Anne Parish, she enjoyed bowling and had a passion for dancing.
Traveling being a big part of her later years, she was a member and volunteer of the Royal Travelers Association. Her son Robert E. Gamache, Jr. of Cranston, RI
died Friday morning within minutes of her death.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Diane L. Medeiros and her husband Edward and Jeanne M. Gamache, all of Fall River;2 sons, Marc P. Gamache and Roger P. Gamache, both of Fall River; 2 daughters-in-law, Jaunita Gamache of Cranston and Beverly A. Gamache of Fall River; 5 grandchildren, Andrew Medeiros and Thomas, Robert, Daniel and Melissa Gamache; a step-granddaughter, Linda Guardegno; a step-great-grandson, Nikkolas Adams, a brother, Normand J. Thiboutot of Fall River and many nephews and nieces including a devoted caregiver Bernice Johnson. She was the sister of the late Liana Croteau and Albert, Omer, Wilfred, Evelyn, Alcide, Bertha, Donat and Roger Thiboutot. Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the
AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM
