Died:
- Caroline Evelyn Gamache, age 83, of St. Croix Falls Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
Born November 2nd, 1941 to Albertina ?Ansay? and William Doree in Williams - Lake of the Woods, Minnesota.
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.
Caroline Evelyn Gamache, a woman of unshakable faith, fierce love, and undeniable grit, passed peacefully from this life.
Caroline was the devoted wife of Ron Gamache of 64 years, her partner in all things and her steady rock through decades of farm life, faith, and family. Through the 69 years together they built a life rooted in hard work, resilience, and purpose.
She is survived by her husband Ron; loving daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Ben Lange; her cherished grandchildren, Ashlee (Jenna) Lange, Tim Johnson and Logan (Mackenzie) Lange; and many beloved great-grandchildren. Her spirit also lives on in her many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends, each of whom brought a sparkle to her eye and warmth to her heart.
Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tim Gamache; her parents, and her siblings, whose memories she carried with her always.
A true farmer?s wife, Caroline met every challenge head-on?with calloused hands, unwavering resolve, and a stubborn streak that could rival any storm. She worked the land with the same passion and care that she poured into her home, creating a place where everyone felt welcomed, loved, and well-fed.
She was a woman of quiet but deep faith, attending church not just in practice but in every gesture of her daily life.
And while she was humble about her talents, always quilting and sewing for family in her free time, those lucky enough to know her will never forget her famous homemade chocolate syrup recipe?or her famous raspberry liqueur, lovingly crafted and shared generously, especially around the holidays.
Caroline Evelyn Gamache leaves behind a family bound together by her love, and a legacy of strength, grace, and far more than a couple good recipes.
Her story doesn't end here?it lives on in every field harvested, every prayer whispered, and every family meal that begins with her memory.
