Deceased Name: JUNE K. TRETTEL
June K. Trettel, 87, of Cloquet, died Friday, June 11, 2010, in her home.
She was born June 7, 1923, in Cloquet to Adolphus and Bernadine Gamache. Jan. 29, 1944, she married Edward Trettel in Cloquet. During World War II she worked at Diamond Match and Northwest Paper.
June was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Holy Angels Circle, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and a birthday club with her aunts and cousins. She enjoyed knitting and ink painting.
June was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 1999; and her son Michael in 2007.
She is survived by four sons, David (Kwi Yun) Trettel of Duncanville, Texas, Edward (Sharon) Trettel of Cloquet, Jerome "Bud" (Sherry) Trettel of New Brighton, Minn., and Peter (Rena) Trettel of Cloquet; daughter-in-law Carrol Trettel of Cloquet; brother Bernard "Bunny" Gamache of Cloquet; sister Cleo (Kendall) Evenson of McGregor; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Tuesday, June 15, in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet, and 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, June 16, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 Fourth St., Cloquet.
