Gamache, 89, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on July 30, 2006. Born in Ludlow, the son of the late Joseph and Denise (Sewing) Gamache, he was a lifelong resident and a faithful communicator of St. John the Baptist Church. Lionel was a retired employee of the Smith & Wesson Co., and prior to that he had worked for many years at the Westinghouse Corp. and Springfield Armory. He was predeceased by his wife Rita (Labine) Gamache, who died in 1996, and leaves 2 daughters; Jeanne Saletnik and her husband Louis of Ludlow and Elaine McKeone and her husband Raymond of Atlanta, Ga., A brother Ernest of NJ, a sister Therese Gamache of Springfield, 3 grandchildren, Sherri Gomes and her husband Mark and Carrie Chabot his husband Thomas all of Ludlow and Heather McKeone of Framingham, Ma. 3 great grandchildren, Ryan and Derek Gomes and Brianna Chabot, and several nieces and nephews.
