  [S5] Obituary. George O. Gamache SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- George O. Gamache, 72, formerly of New Bedford, died Friday, May 3, 1996, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Dorothy (Torres) Gamache. Born in Canada, he was raised in New Bedford and moved to California in the 1950s. He was employed by Lockheed-Martin, formerly Lockheed Space and Missile, as a research and development engineer for 28 years until his retirement. He also was employed by the former Continental Screw Co. of New Bedford as a machinist. Mr. Gamache was a World War II Navy veteran. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, hiking and traveling. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Robert Gamache and Richard Gamache of California; a daughter, Susan Sunzeri of California; a brother, Arthur Gamache of Springfield; a sister, Blanche LeBlanc of New Bedford; and a grandson. Arrangements were by the Neptune Society, San Jose. A memorial service will be held in California. [S76] "Franco-American Marriages of New Bedford, MA 1865-1920" AFGS.
