Mary Jane Marsh, age 99 was finally united with her beloved husband, Thomas and mother Laurette Gamache on April 11, as she died peacefully in the loving care of her family. Born on July 14, 1921, in Detroit, MI, Mary Jane is survived by four loving children, Susan Marsh of Royal Oak, MI, Barbara Walsh (James) of Lake Forest, IL, James Marsh of Glen Ellyn, and Thomas Marsh (Beth) of Lake Forest, IL.
Also six adoring grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Marsh (Matt), Jamie (Veronica) Walsh, Sara Cino, Kate (Ross) Chapman, Andrew and Parker Marsh and seven great -grandchildren, Layla, Madeleine, Jacqueline, Liam, Beatrice, Harper and Dylan, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Jane graduated from St. Xavier University and was a dedicated teacher at Addison Trail, Willowbrook, and York High Schools.
In addition to raising her close-knit family, Mary Jane loved the time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed travel, playing bridge with friends, golfing and gardening. Mary Jane was an active member of St. James Parish and enjoyed her twenty years as a volunteer at the Du Page Convalescent Center, the Glen Ellyn Woman's Club, and the AAUW. Mary Jane gracefully lived a life of Love and Family.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 16, at St. James Church, 480 S. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Private burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery where Mary Jane will be laid to rest beside the love of her life. In lieu of flowers donations appreciated to Ann & Robert H.
