Died:
- Mr. Grable was born at St. Louis Aug. 28, 1934, the son of Harold Everett Grable Sr. and his wife Eleanor, nee Thomas.
He was united in marriage to Emily Rose Bradley Sept. 29, 1955.
In later years, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Allen, nee Ray.
He was again united in marriage to Emily Grable Aug. 10, 1996.
Mr. Grable was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Luebbering.
During his working years, he was employed as a welder with the Boilermakers union. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 27 in St. Louis.
Mr. Grable was proud to have served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, JoAnn Allen Grable; and one stepson, Stephen Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Grable, St. Clair; three sons, Bryon Grable and wife Estelita, Belton, Kevin Grable, St. Clair, and James "Burke" Grable and wife Sonya, Lonedell; three daughters, Vickie Grable-Wallis and husband William, Belton, Patricia Schmidt and husband William, Eureka, and Melinda Schuck and husband Steve, De Soto; one stepson, Jimmy Allen, Arkansas; three stepdaughters, Sandy Hodges and husband Steve, Cuba, Mo., Karen Spencer and husband Ronnie, De Soto, and Kimberly Allen, Gray Summit; his mother, Eleanor Grable, St. Louis; two brothers, Donald Grable and wife Joan, O'Fallon, Ill., and Robert Grable, Cape Girardeau; one sister, Jane Ownby and husband Bill, Florissant; 31 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral Mass was held Thursday, Aug. 14, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Luebbering, with the Rev. John McEntee officiating.
Entombment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair.
