SPRINGFIELD, Vt. - Richard A. "Chico" LaCerte, 70, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2012, at Springfield Hospital.
He was born Nov. 3, 1941, in Manchester, N.H., the son of Herve and Violet (Lacourse) LaCerte. He attended and graduated from Catholic schools in Manchester, N.H.
He was a championship bowler and won the State of New Hampshire championship in 1968.
He was manager and helped open the first Dunkin Donuts store in Manchester, N.H., and the first in Dover, N.H. He has been employed as manager of the B.J. Brickers Restaurant in Claremont, N.H., for the past 22 years, and has worked with the Holl Family in the restaurant business for many years.
Chico enjoyed trips to Mohegan Sun Casino, and playing the lottery.
He is survived by his children, Dan Lowe of Berlin, N.H., Heidi LaCerte Rizzuti, of Springfield, Vt., Jennifer Lake of Grass Valley, Calif., and Caroline Ryan of Maine; six grandchildren; siblings, Theresa Bouchard of Maine, Doris Decato of Florida, Priscilla Albernaby of California, Normand LeCerte of Manchester, N.H., Connie Laperle of Manchester, N.H., Roger LaCerte of Manchester, N.H., Armand LaCerte of Goffstown, N.H., Suzanne Turgeon of Weare, N.H., and Patricia Russell of Manchester, N.H.; also by several nieces and nephews and his extended family, the Holls.

services:Friends may call at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, from 10 a.m. until noon. A graveside service will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Springfield, Vt. Reverend Shawn Therrien pastor of St. Mary's in Claremont, N.H., will officiate.
