Died:
- Gary Louis Rouleau, 60, of Hillman, Michigan, passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at his hunting camp.
He was born on January 18, 1949 in Alpena, Michigan, to Charles Rouleau and Lorlea (Sheldon) Rouleau. He married Vicki (Kurkerwicz) on June 28, 1969.
Gary worked as a Gas Technician for Presque Isle Electric and Gas. He was a Council Member for the Village of Hillman. He was a Chancellor of the Knights of Columbus #8041 Hillman, Member of the Ushers Club, Caller for the Knights of Columbus bingo, and often donated his time to any organization that needed him. He was also an active member of the Lucky Dozen Hunters Club. Gary enjoyed family, hunting, fishing, golfing, and reading western books. He was a loving husband and father, who welcomed everyone into his life.
Surviving were his wife, Vicki Rouleau, two sons, Eric of Grand Rapids and Jason at home, parents Charles and Lorlea Rouleau of Alpena; seven brothers and sisters: Diane and Dave Kiefer, Wendy and Bill Barnard of Alpena, Mike and Alice Rouleau, Sister-in-Law Beverly Rouleau of Hillman, Greg and Sue Rouleau of Arkansas, Kim and Kym Rouleau, Bruce and Pam Rouleau, Lori and Fran Vorachek of Wisconsin, and Brother-in-Law Gary Gagnon of Midland. Also surviving was his Mother-in-Law Christine Kurkerwicz of Lachine, Sister-in-Law Karen Kelsey of Alpena, and many nieces and nephews.
Gary Rouleau was preceded in death by his father-in-law Robert Kurkerwicz, one sister Lynette Gagnon, one brother Dean Rouleau, and one nephew, Ryan Kelsey.
