Charles L. "Chuck" Adams, age 65, of Gerald, Missouri passed away on Saturday May 28, 2011 at St John's Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri.
He was born November 4, 1945, in St Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Elliott and June M. (Gallagher) Adams. He was a graduate of Ritenour High School in St Louis County, Missouri and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from Southeast Missouri University and his Masters Degree in Education from Webster College in St Louis, Missouri. On October 14, 2005 he was united in marriage to Linda Meyer who survives of the home.
Chuck worked for the Hazelwood School District for more than twenty-five years until his retirement. He was a English teacher , History teacher, Photography teacher, and was also a assistant wrestling coach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was drafted and served in the Vie, Missouri and the VFW in Owensville, Missouri.
He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, photography and anything that brought him outdoors.
Along with his wife, of six years, Linda, Chuck is survived by four step-children, Ken Meyer (Kim) of Canan, Missouri, Tammy Havelka (Terry) of Owensville, Missouri, Bryan Meyer and hos girlfriend Jennifer of Fetus, Missouri and Trina Seibert (Lee) of Owensville, Missouri; one brother, Steve Adams (Marvia) of Jackson, Maryland; eight step-grandchildren, Kyle Meyer, Kinsey Meyer, Kristopher Havilka, Katie Havilka, Billie Meyer, Jonathan Meyer, Tori Siebert, Sith Seibert; one niece, Katie Roseman ( Don) of St Louis, Missouri; one nephew, Charles Bryan (Sarah) of St Louis, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Adams.
Friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, at the Meyer Hilke Millard Funeral Home in Gerald, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Ebenezer "Stone" United Church of Christ in Gerald, Missouri with Reverend Allen Fluent officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Ebenezer "Stone" UCC Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Grape County Cluster of Jamaica Missouri Partenship's of United Church of Christ in care of Missouri Mid South Conference.
