- Priscilla Agnes Thompson was born September 26, 1938, in Walhalla, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and May (Beaudian) Longtin. She passed away December 16, 2015, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 77 years old.
She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leroy, North Dakota. Priscilla grew up and attended school in the Walhalla area.
On October 26, 1955, Priscilla was united in marriage to Ronald Thompson at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leroy. To this union six children were born.
Priscilla was a devoted wife and loving mother caring for the home and her children as they lived in the communities of Ellendale, North Dakota, Sleepy Eye, and Cloquet. The family moved to Montevideo in 1973 and in 1976 Pricilla began working in the kitchen at Ramsey Elementary School. She worked her way to the position of Head Cook and, in 2008, she retired after a 32 year career in food service.
She enjoyed cooking, the many years of selling Avon, and caring for others. She loved her role as "Gram" and "Great Gram", especially the times spent baking sugar cookies with her grandchildren. Priscilla's favorite holiday was Christmas, being well known for her holiday decorations. She loved classic country music and she and Ron traveled to Branson for ten years to watch her favorite performers.
Priscilla is survived by her husband Ronald; children: Catherine, Mary, Dean, David, Dale and Stacy; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Wayne, Lonnie and Clair; and sister, Martha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and May Longtin; brothers: Cyril, Paul, and Rami; and sisters: Orise and Birdella
