  Died: Rebecca ?Becky? (Yelin) Hopps, 83, of Sterling CT, passed away on April 7, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Westfield, MA to the late Bernard and Marion (Cote) Yelin on February 17, 1943. Becky was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and all-around friend. She worked as office manager at Don Mallon Chevrolet in Norwich for many years. True artistic talent shone through her photography, painting, sculpture, and fiber arts. She enjoyed riding horses well into her 70?s, boating and operating Pine Hill Alpaca Farm with her husband. Becky made friends everywhere she went. She was forgiving and kind and will be greatly missed by all the lives she?s touched. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Howard Hopps; children Wendi Beecher (husband Keith), Craig Hopps (partner Linda Lozada); grandchildren Lara Beecher (husband Christian Larsen), Chelsea Gamache (husband Ben), Amber Hopps, Seth Beecher, Hanah Hopps (fiancé? Spencer Terwiliger), Anna Beecher; great-grandchild Mackenzie Gamache; siblings; and numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Sterling Hill Baptist Church on May 16th at 1:00pm.
