  Died: David Torgerson Aug. 17, 1952?July 21, 2006 David Torgerson, 53, of Turtle Lake died July 21 at his home. Funeral services were Tuesday at East Lincoln Alliance Church in Amery with the Reverend Randy Shussman officiating. Interment was in East Lincoln Cemetery in Amery. Mr. Torgerson was born Aug. 17, 1952 in Amery to Clarence and Doris (Jeska) Torgerson. He grew up in the Turtle Lake area and farmed throughout high school. He graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1971 and married Nancy Helbig in 1970 and the couple later divorced. He worked with his father and brother at Torgerson Construction, and later took over ownership of the company and continued to operate it until his death. iIn 1997, Mr. Torgerson married Mille Workman. Mr. Torgerson enjoyed restoring and collecting muscle cars and was instrumental in church renovations. He is survived by his mother, Doris Torgerson of Turtle Lake; three sons, Shad, Jamie and Matthew, all of Turtle Lake; one stepdaughter, Laura Workman of Turtle Lake; eight grandchildren; a brother, Russell of Amery; and two sisters, Renee Marsh of San Francisco, and Gail Torgerson of Turtle Lake.
