  Died: LONGMEADOW Gerhard W. Suhs, 71, of Charleston, S.C., died Wednesday at Roper Hospital, Charleston. He was a mechanical engineer for Combustion Engineering. Born in Vienna, Austria, he graduated Wimbledon Technical College, England. He was a member of the American Association of Merchant Engineers and the Seabrook Club. He leaves his wife, the former Joyce Pecott of Seabrook Island, S.C., two sons, Kurtis E. of Atlanta, Ga., and Darin E. of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Kimberly Suhs-King of Springfield; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by burial in Longmeadow Cemetery . Another memorial service will be held the morning of April 7 at Holy Spirit Church, John's Island, S.C., and James A. McAlister Inc. Funeral Home, Charleston, is in charge.
