- Dennis Eugene Poletti Obituary
Poletti, Dennis E. of Flushing, age 76, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta will officiate. Burial will follow at Montrose Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass. A memorial service under the Knights of Columbus will be 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by a Rosary. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Dennis was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio on March 11, 1946, the son of Rudolph and Mina (Winkler) Poletti. He married Suzanne Bishop on April 19, 1968, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Dennis was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church and Mt. Zion Catholic Community. He was active in the Knights of Columbus. Dennis worked for GM for many years and also owned his own bike shop. He had many interests and hobbies including being a HAM Radio Operator, working for Skywarn, being a pilot, a KVN for the Marine Corps Family Readiness Program, and volunteering at the hospital. Dennis enjoyed traveling, camping and truck driving. He loved to cook. Dennis was outgoing and loved talking to everyone he met. He was loving and caring and will also be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness. Dennis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Suzanne; six children Christopher and Mary Poletti of New Lothrop, Jonathan and Erin Poletti of Williamston, Denise and Brian Ingham of Orchard Lake, Gabriel and Laura Poletti of Grand Blanc, Rachel and Joshua Ramey of Charlotte, Katrina and David Martin, of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren, Micah, Victoria, Dominic, and Damian Poletti, Preston and Nolan Ingham, Caleb and McKayla Ramey, Kayleigh and Lucas Martin, Bella and Lucia Poletti; seven brothers-in-law, Tom and wife Doris Bishop, Mike and wife Margaret Bishop, Joseph and wife Sally Bishop, Larry and wife Maureen Bishop, Tony and wife Brenda Bishop, Francis and wife Paula Bishop, Gerard (Ruthie Kolodziej) Bishop; three sisters-in-law, Theresa Casey, Angela Morse, Sally Bishop; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard and David Poletti; sisters, Yvonne VanGorder, Regina Krantz; and grandson, Elijah Gabriel Poletti.
