Died:
Emma L. "Dolly" Susa, 83, of Tarentum, died 11:30 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 25, 2004) in Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh.
Born March 2, 1920, in Tarentum, she lived there all her life.
Mrs. Susa was a member of Holy Martyrs Parish, Sacred Heart-St. Peter Worship Site, Tarentum.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, ceramics, crocheting and flower gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Richard J. (Kathy A.) Fleck of Fawn and Francis S. "Frank" Susa of Tarentum; two daughters, Mrs. E. Jean (Howard "Pete") Laverty of Lower Burrell and Mrs. Janet M. (Don) Garrett of Fawn; and two half sisters, Mrs. Pat (Ron) Deplazes of Arizona and Mrs. Carol (Wayne) Klems of Lower Burrell.
She also is survived by 11 grandchildren, Don (Annie) Garrett and Mrs. Kristen (Dave) Eddy, both of Tarentum, John and Lauren Fleck, both of Fawn, Josh and Meagan Susa, both of Harrison, Sue (John) Garret-Sikora of Freeport, Mrs. Sandy (Joe) Frost of Carnegie, Mrs. Shari (Paul) Hohos of Howell, Mich., and Ric (Donna) Fleck and Mrs. Keelyn (Devin) Barrick, both of Lexington, S.C.; 10 great-grandchildren, Carl and Kristen Garrett and Dane and Bryce Eddy, all of Tarentum, Natalie and Kayla Hohos, both of Howell, and Sierra, Aubree and Baylee Barrick and Brittni Fleck, all of Lexington; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Susa; her parents, Ralph E. and Emma Bauer Hall; a brother, Ralph E. Hall II; a sister, Clara Kelly; a half brother, Fred Hall; and three siblings in infancy.
She also was preceded in death by two nephews, Raymond Poskin and David Kelly.
Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, Tarentum, where a blessing service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart-St. Peter Worship Site, celebrated by her pastor, the Rev. Aaron J. Kriss. Burial will be in Sacred Heart-St. Peter Cemetery, Tarentum.
